Stop hitting snooze to get that sense of control back in your lives!
Rise early and at the same time every day. I have seen people who are early risers make it through life with ease. Somehow they have a sense of control and composure in every situation. I feel it is the feeling of having accomplished the hardest thing (getting out of bed) right in the beginning of the day. If the first thing you do in the morning is the hardest the rest of the day will be easier. Just a theory but I guess it makes sense.
Mel Robins, the author of “5 Second Rule”, emphasizes how big a difference it makes to act on something quickly. When you set the alarm for the morning you can either keep hitting the snooze button or just get up and get going within seconds. If one can make the effort of not hitting snooze and just wake up, it is likely to make a huge difference on a daily basis. By extension, this rule applies to a lot of situations in life and helps you get a sense of control in general.
